About Us
Dr. Tanya Long received her DMD degree from University of Louisville School of
Dentistry . She received her A.S. and B.S. degrees in Dental Hygiene. Prior to her
formal dental education, Dr. Long worked as a dental laboratory technician for over
10 years. She has acquired many hours of continuing education in dental as well as
dental lab technology in her preparation for her career as a top restorative and
surgically oriented general dentist.
Dr. Long grew up here in the bluegrass on a farm in Shelby County. The daughter of
a working class family, she is no stranger to hard work. Dr. Long now resides in the
area with her husband of thirteen years and her three children. She fully understands
the challenges of balancing a career and family as well as living on a tight budget in
today's economy.
David Long CDT is the husband of Dr. Long and the master technician of the on-site
dental laboratory. He received his formal dental laboratory training at the Academy
of Health Sciences in San Antonio, Texas while serving in the United States Army.
He has over twenty five years experience as a certified dental technician and is now
one of the leading esthetic technicians in the country. David Long CDT has worked
for many years as a master ceramist and chair-side dental assistant working side by
side with some of the country's top dentist perorming complicated cosmetic and dental
implant procedures. He still serves a liason and technical advisor for some of the
leading dentist in the area.
